About Cal Poly Women’s Lacrosse
We are the Cal Poly Women’s Lacrosse Club, and we need your help to fund our season! We are a group of 60 highly competitive and dedicated girls who are passionate about lacrosse. We compete regionally in both Division I and Division II of the Western Women's Lacrosse League (WWLL) and nationally in the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA). The D1 team has attended the WCLA National Championship tournament for over 10 years, and won 7 consecutive titles from 2001-2008. 2020 is the year for us to bring home another national championship, and we need your help to do so!
Why Donate?
As a club sports team, we are responsible for self funding all costs for a five month long season. This can add up to a hefty amount as we need to cover the cost of league dues, tournament entrance fees, goals/nets, team apparel, pinnies for new members, referees and trainers for home games, hotels and busses for tournaments and playoffs, coaches fees, and finally flights to nationals. This year we are traveling out of state for both playoffs and nationals. With these costs, we are estimating our season to cost around $70,000.
Because we are a club sports team and are not funded by Cal Poly, players must pay season dues out of pocket to play the sport that we love so much. Our goal every year is to keep costs for players as low as possible, and with donations from our fans we are able to do so. We appreciate donations of any kind, and thank you for your continuing support. Go mustangs!
A $10 donation helps cover the cost of a bag of lacrosse balls. Can't play without them!
$50 helps cover the cost of gas needed to travel to one away game. We often carpool ourselves!
A $100 donation helps cover the cost of a trainer for one home game.
A $200 donation helps cover a one-night hotel stay for a player. It's important to rest up before a big game!
$500 would guarantee that four of our players are fully equipped with the gear they need.
A gift of $750 will ensure that we have enough referees to host one home game.
A $1000 donation would allow ALL of our teams to cover the entry fee for a given tournament
A gift of $3,000 would offset the cost of our coach's salary for an entire season!
