Cal Poly Food Pantry
It is estimated that approximately 39% of students experience food insecurity at some point during their career at Cal Poly.
To address this concern, Cal Poly established the Food Pantry, which ensures that all students have access to nutritious meals every day in order to stay focused on their success. The Food Pantry provides students in need with a wide variety of packaged and canned foods, frozen meals, fresh produce and groceries, and personal hygiene products. On-campus meal vouchers are also available for students who are in immediate need of a meal.
Due to the cost of living in San Luis Obispo and other factors, the Food Pantry continues to see an increase in demand for its resources. Your gift will have a tremendous impact on the students we serve:
Thank you in advance for supporting student success and wellness with your gift!
Cal Poly Cares
The Cal Poly Cares program was established in 2015 to help support students experiencing unexpected financial emergencies and keep them on the path to graduation. The program provides one-time emergency grants of up to $2,000 to financially assist students struggling with housing and meals, academic supplies and tuition, medical emergencies, professional clothing, and transportation needs. For many of the students it serves, the program’s support means the difference between staying enrolled at Cal Poly, or leaving altogether.
Through the generosity of donors, the program has been able to help students navigate some of their most challenging times at Cal Poly. Still, student demand for program support continues to grow.
Your gift today will help the program continue to make a difference in the lives of the students it serves by helping them overcome the financial barriers to success.
