Support the Cal Poly Cares Endowment
By Cal Poly Student Affairs
Help students facing crisis situations for years to come.
Help students facing crisis situations for years to come. Cal Poly Student Affairs Make a gift to the Cal Poly Cares Endowment, and make an impact in the lives of students for years to come.
Your gift today will help the program continue to make a difference in the lives of the students it serves for years to come by helping them overcome the financial barriers to success.
Unlock Challenge
When we collectively meet our $25,000 goal for the Cal Poly Cares Endowment, we will unlock an additional $50,000, tripling your gift!
Once our goal has been met, an anonymous Cal Poly Parent will gift $50,000 to the Cal Poly Cares Endowment for a total investment of $75,000 to support future students in perpetuity.
With an endowment, your gift will grow over time ensuring future students will always have the help they need.
Why an Endowment Matters
Endowments are powerful because they generate sustainable funding year after year. The principal of the fund is invested, and a portion of the earnings will be distributed annually to support Cal Poly Cares grants.
Your contribution isn’t just a donation, it’s an investment in Cal Poly’s future. Together, we can help ensure that Mustangs stay on the path to graduation — today and for years to come.

About Cal Poly Cares
The Cal Poly Cares program was established in 2015 to help support students experiencing unexpected financial emergencies and keep them on the path to graduation. Entirely funded by donors, the program provides one-time emergency grants of up to $2,000 supplying critical assistance to students navigating crisis situations such as the loss of a parent, natural disasters, homelessness and basic needs insecurity. For many of the students it serves, the program’s support means the difference between staying enrolled at Cal Poly or leaving altogether.
Over the years, more students are utilizing our basic needs services and support than ever before. Through Cal Poly Cares emergency grants and services such as the Food Pantry, we seek to ensure that all students have ongoing access to the resources needed to focus on well-being, education and success at Cal Poly.

Support Imagen y Espíritu Ballet Folklórico de Cal Poly

Help Imagen y Espíritu Ballet Folklórico de Cal Poly expand our closet to bring back the folklórico showcase!
Help Imagen y Espíritu Ballet Folklórico de Cal Poly expand our closet to bring back the folklórico showcase! Folklórico de Cal Poly Help Imagen y Espíritu Ballet Folklórico de Cal Poly expand our closet to bring back our folklórico showcase!
Imagen y Espíritu Ballet Folklórico de Cal Poly is a student organization dedicated to celebrating and sharing Mexican culture through traditional folklórico dance. Our club brings together students from across Cal Poly who share a passion for dance, culture, community and performance. Through rehearsals and performances, we aim to preserve traditional dances while creating a welcoming space where students can connect with their heritage or learn about the diversity of Mexican culture.
Mexico is home to a wide variety of regions, each with its own unique traditions, music and styles of folklórico dance. In our club, Imagen y Espíritu, we want to represent more of these regions by expanding our collection of traditional outfits to give us opportunities to learn and perform a wider variety of dances. Many of our important performances, such as Illuminate and Poly Cultural Weekend, allow us to share these traditions with the students at Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo communities while creating meaningful experiences for our members.
Our club has been established since 1990, and we have built a strong sense of community and belonging through dance. However, many of the outfits we still use are decades old and showing significant wear. Some have become difficult to repair or replace, challenging our ability to represent the regions and traditions we hope to celebrate.
In the past, our club has organized a full-length baile folklórico showcase, allowing our dancers to represent our variety of different regions and traditions that they have poured countless hours into learning. However, this tradition has been lost to time. We hope to bring it back by creating a new showcase that can bring together our members, families, friends and the Cal Poly community for an evening dedicated to celebrating Mexican culture through dance. Funding plays a crucial role in making this goal possible by helping us obtain outfits, props, music, a venue and other resources necessary to put on a production that can represent our roots.
Reviving this tradition would not only give our dancers a meaningful performance opportunity but also help us build a lasting legacy for future generations of Imagen y Espíritu. Your support will directly help us maintain and expand our performances, obtain and maintain traditional costumes and equipment, attend cultural events and performances and provide our members with more opportunities to learn and grow as dancers. Most importantly, your contribution helps us continue sharing Mexican culture with the Cal Poly community and beyond.
Thank you for your support!

Help Students’ Stage Fund and Produce Peter and the Starcatcher
By Students’ Stage
Support Students’ Stage theatrical performances
Support Students’ Stage theatrical performances Students’ Stage Students’ Stage is one of the only theatre clubs on Cal Poly’s campus. It provides opportunities for students of all majors and experience levels to work on theatrical projects and find community with people who share a love of theatre. Since 2007, Students’ Stage has put on a variety of events, from cabaret-style revues to 24-hour shows. However, last year, we decided to take it a step further and start producing full-length shows. This year, we are producing our second full-length show: Peter and the Starcatcher, a play by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker!
Not only is this a fun opportunity for students to get involved in theatre, make friends and have an artistic outlet, it is also an incredible opportunity for students to gain experience in theatre before heading out into the professional world. Our motto is “theatre for students, by students." A lot goes into producing a full-length show, and we are proud to let you know students don't just make up the cast. This entire show is produced, designed and directed by students.
“Over the last two years, Students’ Stage has given me the space to hone my directing skills and expand my passion. Now, as I get ready to make my directorial debut with this show, I could not be more grateful for all that this club and the people who are a part of it have done for me" - Sammy Gore, student director of Peter and the Starcatcher
Your donation will allow Cal Poly students at Students’ Stage to make this show the best it can be! It will enable our club to further its mission and continue bringing more theatre to all Cal Poly students.
Thank you so much for your support!

Send the Women's Club Soccer Team to Nationals!
By Cal Poly Women's Club Soccer
Support the Women's Club Soccer Team!
Support the Women's Club Soccer Team! Cal Poly Women's Club Soccer The Cal Poly Women’s Soccer Club is a self-funded, student-run organization made up of 25 dedicated and driven student-athletes. We compete in one of the most competitive leagues in the country and have built a strong tradition of success through hard work, commitment and team work.
Our team has competed at the highest collegiate club soccer level, winning the national championship in both 2022 and 2024!
“Nationals was my favorite part of my entire college experience. Working all season to make it, getting to travel and stay with the team, and then playing so many games in one weekend to then win was so rewarding and created such a strong bond between the team. All of our parents come and we have the best fans. It’s just the best experience.” - Savannah Lunetta, Captain and President
Last year, we continued our success by winning league and finishing as finalists in our spring regional tournament. These accomplishments landed us with a No. 1 preseason ranking regionally and nationally, kicking off our 2026 fall season with a bang! We are working hard to build success again and earn another opportunity to compete at the 2026 National Tournament! This year’s tournament will take place over five days in November, bringing together the top college club soccer teams from across the country. It is an incredible opportunity for our players to represent Cal Poly, compete at the highest level and continue the legacy our team has built.
However, attending Nationals comes with significant costs. As a self-funded club, our players are responsible for raising the money needed to make this experience possible. Funds from this campaign will directly support lodging and travel expenses for our 25 players and coach during the five-day national tournament. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to Nationals.
Your support helps our team compete, represent Cal Poly and continue our pursuit of another national championship. Thank you for supporting Cal Poly Women’s Club Soccer and our road to nationals!

Help Cal Poly Women's Water Polo Compete Across the State!
By Cal Poly Women's Water Polo
Support the Cal Poly Women's Water Polo Team!
Support the Cal Poly Women's Water Polo Team! Cal Poly Women's Water Polo Cal Poly Women’s Water Polo is a competitive club team of 35 student-athletes. We compete in tournaments throughout California as part of the Pacific Coast Division of The Collegiate Water Polo Association.
Our team is a club sport funded almost entirely by donations and our fundraising efforts. Because our athletes have to pay dues, a goal of ours is to make participation as affordable as possible so that financial difficulties are not a barrier to playing. We want all of our athletes to have the opportunity to be part of a supportive team that builds lifelong skills and friendships.
As a club sport, we are focused not only on our love for water polo, but also on the creation of a close-knit community. We choose to spend our time and energy amidst busy coursework to exercise together and cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment. Our team experience is full of fun tournaments, bonding and practices, all of which help us grow as athletes with a united drive to improve and win! This year, our main financial needs include increased pool use costs and equipment needs, in addition to league dues, tournament entry fees, lifeguards, transportation to tournaments, hotels and much more.
“As Cal Poly Women’s Water Polo gears up for our next season, higher pool space fees and new equipment costs like shot clock rentals mean that donor support is more vital than ever” – Lauren Stanton, Treasurer
Any donation would significantly help decrease the financial burden on our athletes and allow us to continue competing and practicing at a high level. We need your support to allow us to have another successful and memorable season!
Thank you and go Poly Polo!

Help Cal Poly Supermileage Construct a Vehicle of the Future!
By Cal Poly Supermileage
Help Cal Poly Supermileage Construct a Hyper-Efficient Vehicle of the Future by helping with project costs.
Help Cal Poly Supermileage Construct a Hyper-Efficient Vehicle of the Future by helping with project costs. Cal Poly Supermileage Cal Poly Supermileage is a team of dedicated engineers that design, manufacture, test and race electric vehicles for efficiency for the Shell Eco-Marathon. The Shell Eco-Marathon consists of two main categories: Prototype and Urban Concept. The Prototype vehicles are small, bullet shaped and are designed for hyper efficiency. In past years, we have competed in the Prototype category. Our prototype design was 50 times more efficient than a Tesla, and we won an award for our prototype telemetry display system.
One of our goals is to provide an engineering experience to all engineers at any level. We take time with our new members to train them with CAD software and get all of the machine shop certifications needed earlier than their classes, so they get a head start on their education and are set up for success.
In 2023, our team of 30 started designing a brand-new vehicle for the Urban Concept category of the Shell Eco-Marathon. Unlike our past prototype vehicles, the Urban Concept category is designed to be a street-legal vehicle that challenges the boundaries of efficiency of modern-day electric vehicles. It has headlights, taillights, a trunk space, a parking brake and even working windshield wipers!
Since this Urban Concept vehicle is much more intricate than our usual prototype vehicle, our budget for shipping, manufacturing and testing is much higher than usual. In order to manufacture our newly designed vehicle and send it to competition, we need your help!
Thank you for your support of Cal Poly Supermileage!
