Since 1968, KCPR has been a mainstay in serving Cal Poly and the greater San Luis Obispo area. As a nonprofit, student-run, award-winning radio station, our ability to serve you relies on your continued support. Your generosity allows us to buy new equipment, support student success, and most importantly bring you the programming you love.
As we face uncertainty in our daily lives because of this pandemic, one thing is certain: KCPR is more important than ever. Our station continues to provide free news and entertainment to the community while all of us shelter at home.
For our listeners, we are a familiar voice in an unfamiliar time.
We encourage you to contribute to our 2020 fundraising effort to not just keep our station alive, but also remain a powerhouse for music and news on the Central Coast.
KCPR brings you Mustang News on our airwaves every weekday morning. We plan to double our news programming to 10 hours each week in the 2020-21 school year. To increase our coverage and remain competitive in the rapidly changing media landscape, KCPR's equipment requires constant updates and maintenance.
Through our terrestrial signal on 91.3 FM, KCPR.org, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, and more, KCPR showcases new music to tens of thousands of dedicated listeners every month. From Germany to the Philippines, we have a worldwide audience that goes beyond our small college town.
Aside from facilitating music discovery, KCPR also hosts live events throughout the year. Part of KCPR’s core mission is to create a sense of community and showcase the abundance of talent San Luis Obispo has to offer. Your donation allows us to deliver important news, continue hosting events for our community and curating the highest quality music for radio and streaming.
