Support the MultiCultural Center in its Mission to Increase Inclusion and Diversity on Campus!
Cal Poly's MultiCultual Center (MCC) aims to provide an educational space that empowers diversity and uses social justice as a foundation for its commitment to the recruitment, retention, and success of all underrepresented students. We at the MCC are committed to inclusion, diversity, and equity as core values and seek to foster interpersonal growth, community, and strive to achieve equity for all. This is accomplished by not only providing a physical communal space for underrepresented students and their allies but also through a multitude of year-round events -- including PolyCultural Weekend and Culture Fest -- as well as a variety of resources and materials meant to promote cultural awareness and pride amongst all students, staff, and faculty.
Gifts to the MCC assist the center in putting on campus-wide cultural events including CultureFest -- a festival hosted in the UU where student organizations showcase their cultural pride -- and Poly Cultural Weekend -- which aims to establish a sense of community, a sense of belonging, and provides students with the skills to succeed at Cal Poly by acquainting prospective students to Cal Poly University by exploring academic, cultural, and social resources of the institution. Additionally, your generous gift will also allow the MCC to continue its diverse programming, providing a space for Black and Indigenous students, students of color, queer students, as well as other underrepresented groups to discuss their unique experiences while also providing access to educational and cultural resources. Help the MCC continue to be a space for all underrepresented students!
