The Cal Poly Black Alumni Chapter’s (CPBAC) mission is to build and strengthen bonds between alumni and students. By providing opportunities for Black alumni, faculty, students and staff to connect, our diverse network strives to implement programs and provide resources that enhance the quality of life for everyone involved. Our purpose is to ensure that all Cal Poly students have access to the increased educational and career opportunities fundamental to making the Cal Poly experience so enriching and unique.
Our work is centered around engaging with and advocating for Cal Poly’s Black students, alumni, faculty and staff. In addition to providing opportunities for our chapter members and students to cultivate relationships on academic, professional and interpersonal levels, the Cal Poly Black Alumni Chapter aims to use available resources to further the recruitment, enrollment and retention of Black students. Through collaborating with student groups on campus, our programming seeks to highlight and celebrate the numerous achievements of Black Cal Poly students, alumni, faculty and staff.
