Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Center for Service in Action (CSA) invites all students, staff, faculty, alumni and supporters to contribute to the Mustang Holiday Gift Drive. Last year we provided more than 350 gifts to local children and teens for the holidays, and we are hoping to donate even more this year with your support. We are once again partnering with the San Luis Obispo County Department of Social Services and the Housing Authority of SLO .
While most gift requests are in the $30-40 range, donations of any amount (no matter how small) can be made online to help fulfill a child’s wish. If you are local and would like to go shopping for a specific gift instead of donating online, please stop by one of our giving tower locations on campus to pick up a gift wish tag. Giving towers are located on the second floor of Kennedy Library (Bldg. 35), the second floor of the University Union (Bldg. 65), and the Center for Service in Action in the Science Building (Bldg. 52, Room E22). Bring newly purchased, unwrapped gift items to the Center for Service in Action by Friday, December 3rd to help make a child smile this holiday season!
ABOUT THE CENTER FOR SERVICE IN ACTION
The Center for Service in Action at Cal Poly connects students with meaningful community service opportunities that complement their educational experience, strengthen their understanding of diversity and social responsibility, and develop skills to become ethical and knowledgeable leaders who contribute to a global society. The Center for Service in Action cultivates reciprocal service and learning partnerships between the university and community partners. The Center for Service in Action also serves community-based organizations and governmental institutions seeking University support to address unmet community needs.
