Cal Poly Tennis Club is a co-ed, club tennis organization. Founded in 2009, our team is known for being the perfect blend of competition and fun. Each year, our competitive team travels throughout California and across the United States to compete in 12+ large-scale tournaments against club tennis teams throughout the country. As a close-knit team, we are one big tennis family.
Our competitive team is full of incredibly hard-working and talented individuals. Our team strives for greatness each year and has our eyes set on competing in sectionals, regionals, and nationals, among many other tournaments. Last year, our competitive team placed 3rd at Sectionals, 1st at Regionals, and 2nd at the National Championships— competing against the top 64 schools in the country.
Our tennis club greatly relies on your generous donations to sustain our competitive edge and allow us to create lasting memories both on and off the court. Your contributions directly support a wide range of essential expenses that enable us to compete in tournaments and represent Cal Poly with pride. With more than 150+ club members between our competitive and general teams, these funds cover tournament entry fees, allowing us to compete against top-notch teams in the 10+ tournaments we compete in each year.
Donations also go to hotel and lodging accommodations that are essential when traveling to away tournaments, tennis balls for our year-round practice, car rentals, and plane tickets for out-of-state competitions. Your support not only allows us to continue pursuing our passion for tennis but is also the underlying backbone that fosters teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills among our members.
