Our Crowdfunding Groups
Each year Cal Poly Men’s Club Volleyball team travels to the host site of the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) National Championships. This year the national tournament is in Kansas City, Missouri. Players have to pay for their own flights, but the club pays for hotel rooms for the athletes and coaches. Hotel rooms are the most expensive cost for the club. Depending on the time of year and location of Nationals, hotel rooms can be a lot for a club sports team to afford.
Junior and club treasurer Noah Weitzel said, “I didn’t realize how expensive hotels were for our club until I became treasurer. Now I know that most of our club dues are going straight into hotel rooms for the guys.” We appreciate any help in covering our team's biggest expense!
The National Tournament is what our entire season leads up to, and the success of our season is often gauged by how we do at “nattys.” In the past decade, we’ve finished in the top 10 six times at nationals. In that timespan, we’ve won the entire tournament, and finished second and third as well. We are one of the most competitive club sports on campus, and our athletes are the best of the best. Help us send our hardworking athletes to Nationals this year— the more donations we receive, the more our athletes can focus on competing at the highest level possible for Cal Poly!
The teams’ biggest goal of this year includes competing at the highest level, winning the Northern California Collegiate Volleyball League (NCCVL), and winning the NCVF National Championships. We need your help to reach our goals and put Cal Poly Men’s Volleyball back on the map: a long-term goal of the team is to have Men’s Volleyball back as a NCAA Division 1 sport at Cal Poly.
Both teams finished in the top 10 this year, and three of our players were All Americans. With a rebuilding year now complete, the program will look to reload going into next season. We truly appreciate any donation we receive to help us get to our goal of $15,000. Thank you!
Cover the cost of registration fees for an athlete going to the national tournament.
Cover the cost of a hotel room for one night at Nationals. Four athletes stay in each hotel room.
Help us cover the cost of NCCVL dues for our team for the year. These dues allow us to continue to be a participating member of our Northern California League.
Help us cover the cost of a hotel stay for the entire NCVF National Tournament. This would house 4 athletes for 4 nights directly next to the host site.
