Support Cal Poly's Pilipino Cultural Exchange

Since 1974, the Pilipino Cultural Exchange (PCE) at Cal Poly has offered a "home away from home" for any student seeking a supportive and inclusive community. Open to individuals from all backgrounds, PCE brings together diverse personalities and creates an environment where members can connect through shared experiences and goals.

We strive to provide unique personal, social, cultural, and academic resources that benefit every student who crosses our way. Our members are assisted in academia through our Mentor-Mentee program, as well as our Kuyate/Ading program (our version of a Big/Little program) where many life-long friendships, memories, and traditions are forged and remembered.

With three non-audition performing groups, our members are given numerous platforms to express themselves and further personal growth. Our Modern dance group is known for its hip-hop, contemporary, and pop-influenced style and dance. Our choir, Ating Himig, offers individuals the opportunity to showcase their singing abilities, but also learn along the way. Our cultural dance troupe, Kasayahan, allows members to take part in learning the cultural dances of the Philippines and their histories. We also host numerous social eventssporting and recreational events, and hold regular cultural and political dialogues and spaces for our members. Along with various community outreach efforts, and our annual Pilipino Cultural Night, our organization strives to share culture, and a positive influence with our members, fellow student body and wider community.

As our organization serves over 200 members, we strive to provide exciting, inclusive, and year-long programming that supports a variety of interests and empowers members to explore their identities. Your donation helps us host events and provide opportunities for our members by purchasing general supplies (e.g., gloves, napkins, props, etc.), facilitating events (e.g., Outure Retreat, Culture Week, Formals/Dances, etc.), purchase cultural food and ingredients, and more.

Together, we aim to cultivate an equitable space where members feel supported, can thrive, and grow with us!
