Send Cal Poly ITE to the Annual Student Leadership Summit

Cal Poly Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a well-recognized student chapter in the Western District of ITE and the University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Created to uplift students pursuing careers in Transportation Engineering and those simply enthusiastic about transportation initiatives, ITE student members are engaging and growing in professional spaces. ITE student leaders meticulously organize events to connect fellow members with professional resources and promote career preparedness in a rapidly growing transportation industry. Biweekly meetings with professional speakers, mock interview sessions with Transportation Engineers, firm tours, competition involvement, and ITE conference participation advertise our members as the kind, dedicated, and passionate students they are. These unique, expansive Learn by Doing opportunities for students to grow into eager engineers are made possible by the generous support of our industry partners and Cal Poly ITE alumni. 

ITE’s annual Student Leadership Summit (SLS) is a three-day student-organized conference started by Cal Poly’s ITE chapter in 2014. The conference invites transportation professionals from around the globe and schools within the Western District to engage in impactful networking opportunities and workshops. It highlights the impact of ITE students in academic spaces and future spaces in which we will equitably design transportation facilities for our communities. 

We want ITE students to represent Cal Poly at SLS! The mission of SLS is for future transportation professionals to develop professional acuity, exchange leading transportation knowledge, and grow as student leaders. It is our hope that students can heighten their interest in serving others through transportation and build comraderie with other student chapters through this priceless opportunity.
