It's that time of year again! The 2025 College Club Swimming National Championship is just around the corner. Cal Poly Swim Club members have swam hard in the last few months in order to qualify for this year's national competition, hosted by Arizona State University. In order to support our amazing swimmers who will be representing Cal Poly at the end of March, we need your help. We are asking for donations in order to support hotel costs, meet entries, rental cars, and gear for our competitors.
Cal Poly Swim Club is the largest club sports team on campus, with around 100 members registered annually. We provide a space for all swimmers to work on their skills, no matter their level, to be the best athlete they can be. Practices are held 5 times a week and are run by our board members that have extensive swim experience and are committed to making practices productive, beneficial and fun to all members.
CPSC is one of the top College Club Swim teams on the West Coast. We attend 2-3 meets a quarter for swimmers to compete and make cuts for the College Club Swimming National Championship. Last year at nationals in Indiana, Cal Poly placed 7th overall out of 120 schools, with the Women’s team placing 3rd overall. We had a handful of podium finishes in both individual events as well as relay races. In November 2024, the club participated in the Regional Championships hosted by UCSD where the team placed 2nd overall. Cal Poly broke 2 Regionals Meet records, along with 11 Cal Poly Swim Club records, and secured 34 national qualifying times.
This year's national competition, Cal Poly is expecting to send 30 swimmers to the 3 day long competition in Arizona, taking place March 28th - March 30th. Please consider donating to support our athletes so they can succeed and focus on swimming fast. We are so proud of our hard working swimmers. Go Mustangs!
