Cal Poly Women’s Water Polo is a competitive club team of 35 student-athletes. We compete in tournaments throughout California as part of the Pacific Coast Division of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.
The Cal Poly Women’s Water Polo Team is a club sport, funded almost entirely by our own fundraising efforts. Because our athletes pay dues, our goal as a program is to make participation as affordable as possible, and to ensure that financial difficulties are not a barrier to playing on our team.
As a club sport, we have created a team focused not only on the love of playing water polo, but also on committing to a close-knit community. We choose to spend our time and energy amidst busy coursework to exercise together and cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment. The experience on this team is full of fun tournaments, team bonding, and practices, all of which help us create a proud community of athletes with a united drive to improve, grow, and win! We want all our athletes to feel welcomed onto our team and join us in building lifelong skills and friendships.
The dues that our athletes pay cover league dues, tournament entry fees, equipment, pool space, lifeguards, transportation, hotel, and much more. Any donation would significantly help decrease the financial burden on our athletes and allow us to continue competing and practicing at a high level.
The success that we have achieved would not have been possible without the amazing support from our parents, family, and friends. We need your support to allow us to have another successful season! Here is the link to our website to learn more about our club: calpolyslowomenswaterpolo.com
