The Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE) Chapter at Cal Poly is a hands-on club that allows students to explore the world of composites, materials science, and advanced manufacturing. Our students design and fabricate bridges, fuselages, and 3D-printed structures, while gaining invaluable experience in structural analysis, material selection, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
This year SAMPE is hosting an international conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this conference, there will be a student competition where students will test their fabrications against other universities while representing Cal Poly. Travel and lodging will be our biggest expenses, so that is why we need your help getting us to the conference!
We want to make sure that all our students can attend and participate in this competition. Not only will our students be competing, but the conference will also provide networking opportunities with industry leaders for our students, allowing our members to gain valuable insights into the new technologies in the additive manufacturing and composite materials engineering industry.
"SAMPE has given me the opportunity to apply my engineering education in a real-world setting, learn from industry leaders, and work alongside passionate students who share my interest in advanced materials." – Jose Ramirez Jimenez, SAMPE President
Every contribution, big or small, helps us provide students with invaluable hands-on experience, making a tangible impact on their future careers. Thank you for your support!
