Support Garden Club!

The Cal Poly Garden Club first started in 2018 and is a large, loving, and inclusive group of diverse, forward-thinking students with varying experience and knowledge practicing sustainable and regenerative agriculture. We aim to educate members on the benefits of regenerative agriculture and seek to connect students with like-minded peers, clubs, educators, and other organizations, while promoting environmental justice, literacy, and education, and fostering a mindful and loving community.

Meetings typically take place every Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Student Experimental Farm (SEF). Together, we collaborate to maintain the farm by weeding, planting, and harvesting the fruits and vegetables we grow. Additionally, we encourage students to take on projects of their own and utilize the space however they please.

“Garden Club gives me a space to connect with the earth and other like-minded people to bring ideas to life. This club has helped my personal and academic growth while also providing me with a sense of belonging.” — Kacie Giordano, Environmental Earth and Soil Sciences student

To continue providing students with the ability to cultivate the farm, we ask for your help with funding to cover the cost of our supplies. With these donations, we will be focused on investing in new fruit tree saplings to plant in the Food Forest area of the Student Experimental Farm, as well as working on improving the irrigation throughout the farm. By implementing new irrigation, we will be able to create a more fertile area for these trees to grow in. Members for years to come will be able to enjoy the benefits of reliable irrigation, yielding better outcomes for the planted crops and trees.

Thank you for your support of Garden Club!
