The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is a social club at Cal Poly that facilitates student connections with faculty, alumni, and industry within Biomedical engineering. BMES hosts both social and professional events that allow students to grow academically, build meaningful connections, and explore career opportunities within the field of biomedical engineering. Some examples of events that BMES hosts are panel discussions with industry, food socials, and a project competition, along with general body meetings.  

Thousands of college students worldwide participate within BMES and come together once a year for an annual conference that promotes networking, education, and continued growth within Biomedical Engineering. The Biomedical Engineering Annual Conference is centered around BMES’ mission of promoting a collaborative and inclusive community to advance human health. We would love to be able to bring Cal Poly students to this conference as it offers a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders, gain exposure to cutting-edge research, and build connections that can shape their academic and professional futures. This year, the Biomedical Engineering Society's Annual Meeting will be hosted in Orlando, Florida from October 21st to 24th. 

To make this trip happen, we need to cover travel, hotel accommodation, and registration fees for our attending members. Every contribution goes directly towards getting our students there and making this experience possible. A portion of funds raised will also go towards hosting club events and activities leading up to the conference. These events provide a great way to get more members excited and involved, whether they’re able to attend the conference or not. From informational panels, to socials, we want to make BMES a place that builds community.  

Your donation will allow Cal Poly students to go to Orlando and experience an environment where Biomedical Engineering is celebrated, and innovation, collaboration, and professional growth are at the forefront.
