Support the Cal Poly Horticulture Club!

The Cal Poly Horticulture Club creates a welcoming space for students who are passionate about plants, horticulture and hands-on learning. Our club brings together students from a range of backgrounds and experience levels, from those just beginning to explore horticulture to those pursuing careers in plant science and related fields. Through our biweekly meetings, students have the opportunity to build friendships, connect with peers who share their interests and become more involved in the broader Plant Sciences community at Cal Poly.

A major part of what makes our club meaningful is that we work hard to keep it accessible to everyone. We do not charge membership dues, and we provide a free dinner at every meeting so that students can participate without financial pressure. That may seem simple, but it makes a real difference. A shared meal helps create a relaxed and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable showing up, getting involved and building community. For many members, Horticulture Club is not just an extracurricular activity, it is a place where they feel connected, supported, and encouraged.

This campaign will support the overall hospitality that allows our club to thrive. By removing barriers to participation, we can make sure more students are able to attend regularly, form lasting connections and take advantage of the educational and community-building opportunities our club offers. Donor support will directly strengthen the student experience by helping us maintain a club environment that is inclusive, engaging and rooted in Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing spirit.
