Description
Students’ Stage is one of the only theatre clubs on Cal Poly’s campus. It provides opportunities for students of all majors and experience levels to work on theatrical projects and find community with people who share a love of theatre. Since 2007, Students’ Stage has put on a variety of events, from cabaret-style revues to 24-hour shows. However, last year, we decided to take it a step further and start producing full-length shows. This year, we are producing our second full-length show: Peter and the Starcatcher, a play by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker!
Not only is this a fun opportunity for students to get involved in theatre, make friends and have an artistic outlet, it is also an incredible opportunity for students to gain experience in theatre before heading out into the professional world. Our motto is “theatre for students, by students." A lot goes into producing a full-length show, and we are proud to let you know students don't just make up the cast. This entire show is produced, designed and directed by students.
