Help BioBreakthrough host a STEM conference

BioBreakthrough brings Cal Poly students together with professionals whose nontraditional STEM careers are driven by positive missions. Students leave with connections, career paths they hadn’t considered and the confidence to pursue them. At BioBreakthrough 2026, 94% of student attendees learned something new that they would apply to their job or internship search, and 87% made meaningful connections with STEM professionals. 

Our April 2027 conference is free for every Cal Poly student who wants to attend, making STEM career development accessible to all. Your gift helps cover: 

1. Meals: breakfast, coffee, and lunch for students and speakers
2. Conference materials: name badges, lanyards, notebooks, tabletop and banner signage, and AV equipment for workshops and networking sessions 
3. Venue costs: speaker parking and day-of maintenance

Student-led from start to finish, this conference is Learn by Doing in action. Our team plans the program, recruits the speakers and runs the entire conference day, building real leadership experience along the way. Join us in giving the next generation of STEM changemakers a head start. Every gift, big or small, helps a student see what’s possible.
