Accelerate Baja SAE to our Arizona and Pennsylvania Competitions
Description
We are Cal Poly Racing’s Baja SAE team and we design, build and test a single seat, offroad racecar for competition in the Baja SAE International Collegiate Design Series each year! We compete against schools around the nation in design, cost and dynamic events judged by industry professionals. Cal Poly Racing allows us to combine our knowledge from the classroom and hands-on experiences in machine shops to create elite racing vehicles with impressive capabilities.
Each year, our team places highly amongst teams from top institutions across the country. This past year, our team had standout finishes in acceleration at both of our competitions placing 1st and 3rd, top-ten placements in hill climb and maneuverability, a 6th-place endurance finish and an impressive 10th-place finish overall at our Oregon competition. Our team was also honored with the HAAS Manufacturing Excellence Award in 2025, recognizing our commitment to exceptional in-house manufacturing and inspection practices.
Last year, we tripled our $5,000 goal and raised over $15,000 to support our team! These funds go into purchasing materials, tools, parts and financing our Build Week Event. The largest portion of our proceeds goes to sending our students and vehicle to both Baja SAE competitions in Marana, Arizona and Williamsport, Pennsylvania this coming May. We greatly appreciate the continued support from our alumni, families, friends and industry partners, and we are thankful for donations of any amount!
