Help Cal Poly Rugby Compete at the Highest Level

For more than five decades, Cal Poly Rugby has brought students together to represent the university through competitive collegiate rugby. The men’s and women’s teams provide athletes with the opportunity to challenge themselves, compete at the Division 1 level, and be part of a program that extends well beyond their years at Cal Poly.

As a student-led club, Cal Poly Rugby relies on the support of alumni, families and donors to operate. Fundraising helps cover travel, equipment, coaching, medical support and other competition expenses. Every contribution directly supports the athletes who represent Cal Poly today and helps sustain the program for future generations. 

Cal Poly Men‘s Rugby has been at the forefront of the Division I circuit. To stay competitive, the program must play the nation's best teams. The continued support of our supporters and alumni was integral to our standout wins against Army, UCLA and USD. The Men's team strives to climb higher in the Top 10 rankings, proving that Cal Poly is a formidable program. We are extremely grateful to our parents, supporters, alumni, and all who choose to donate to the Rugby program. 

As the Women’s team comes to its 10th anniversary this year, we could not extend more gratitude to you, our supporters and alumni, for your continued encouragement and support as we begin our second season as a Division I program. In the past 3 years, we have made our way from defending Division II National Champions to strong competitors in our Division I league, placing 5th in both 15s and 7s nationally in 2026. We owe our success to our players who continue to strive to be the best players, teammates and friends on and off the pitch, our coaches who work to raise our standards day in a day out and you, our supporters, who have believed in us from the beginning. We are proud to represent the legacy of Cal Poly Rugby. We strive to enhance Women and Girls in our sport, and we cannot wait to compete this season.
