Description

Help Cal Poly Sailing attend Regattas and race across the state!

Cal Poly Sailing is a competitive club sport with over 60 active members that revolves around teaching our peers and introducing sailing to hundreds of Cal Poly students every year. Our team is entirely student-run and donation-funded, and we rely on the support of our community to compete in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference (PCCSC). We are the biggest uncoached and non-NCAA sailing team in the PCCSC, and we continue to grow every year.

For the second year in a row, Cal Poly Sailing is in the running for a spot at the Inter Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) National Championships, in Spring 2027. Competing at Nationals would be a huge opportunity for our team to represent Cal Poly and compete against some of the best collegiate sailing teams in the country.

Our team currently relies exclusively on student coaching, and many of our boats and sailing equipment require extensive repairs. Thanks to the support we have received in previous years, this fall we were able to make significant upgrades to our fleet that allow us to bring more sailors to regattas in better, faster boats. But those boats also require upkeep, repairs and replacement gear to stay race-ready.

We are raising money to continue repairing and improving our boats, replace worn-out sailing equipment and cover the costs that come with maintaining a growing fleet. Donations will also help us attend competitive coaching clinics, travel to regattas and pay entry fees as we work toward qualifying for Nationals.

Being able to continue repairing our boats and investing in our gear would significantly advance our sailing level, give more students the opportunity to compete and help us build toward competing on a national scale.

Thank you for your continued support of Cal Poly Sailing!
