Help our Student Athletes Maximize Their Potential!

Our Purpose

The Mustang Strength Project is a 30-day fundraising initiative to raise money for the strength and conditioning room. After years of use by Cal Poly’s 21 sports teams, some of the department’s equipment needs to be updated in order to allow student-athletes to train to their full potential. A minimum of $7,500 is needed to purchase all the necessary equipment. See the priority items in the giving levels along the side of the page!


You can donate any of the suggested levels or a custom amount of your choosing. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and has a positive impact on the program. In order to make this a competitive giving experience we are going to make a competition between teams (i.e. football, soccer, volleyball etc.). When you make a donation indicate which team you were on during your time at Cal Poly - or which team you would like to have credit — and that will be counted towards your team’s total. The team with the highest donor participation wins our MSP competition. Football has one the past two years in a row, so they remain the team to beat!

Agility Ladder

Improves acceleration, lateral speed and change of direction while enhancing balance, rhythm and body control.


Airex Balance Pad

The destabilizing properties are suitable for increasing strength, stamina, differentiation, and coordination.


Heavy Slam Medicine Ball

Helps improve core strength, promote better balance, and cultivate coordination.


Wooden Plyo Box

Durable equipment which improves an athletes’ vertical.


Prowler Sled

Provide Student Athletes with a push/pull weight sled with several different workout combinations available.


Bumper Plate Set

Weight plates needed for sleds. Will purchase various different sizes.


Assault Bike

This workout bike scales automatically to how hard you want to work. The harder you pedal, the greater the resistance.


Student Assistant Stipend

Pay for a student assistant in the training room for one quarter.

Our Crowdfunding Groups
